TXL. Zenkai Jonda x Dannyjah - 開玩笑.
It has been a busy few days of non-stop tournaments. TXL. Zenkai Jonda played his first AE tournament since February 2011, in Singles action at BFF 3.3's AE 1v1 Double Elimination Tournament, 5v5 Teams with VintageSoul, Rchan, Koedo-san and Chris M_Flo24/HMH, the Alpha Dogs, as well as 2v2 Teams with Jeremy224, representing Teamchemist.
BattleField Fridays... Started the Singles strong by beating Haw Yann from Malaysia, 2-1, advancing, before getting sent to Loser's by my 5v5 teammate, Koedo-san, where I met Mustapusta (I won of course, was there ever any doubt.) but got sent home eventually by CarzyDog Ken, back from Hong Kong for a short vacation.
Shoutouts to the special guest appearance of The Vanilla Alumni.
On Saturday, the Alpha Dogs went 3/2 or 2/2 in 5v5 action, once again meeting Haw Yann's team in opening rounds, and if my memory serves me well, was sent home by that very same team. Nonetheless, great performances from VintageSoul, Koedo-san, Rchan and HMH. Memory failing alittle over here as Rchan, VintageSoul and myself were also participating in the MVC3 tournaments.
Shoutouts to Raymus who just refuses to die.
Better luck on Sunday though, representing Teamchemist with Jeremy224, finished the tournament in second place, losing to a team of Tommy and Tampines Daigo, which was also the very team that sent us into the Loser's Brackets in Round 2. It was a small tournament with many notable opponents missing, but top players like riCz, Kukujiao Dudley, SBK and Ganguro were still in attendance. (riCz and Trevose teamed up, SBK and Ganguro teamed up)
Shoutouts to beating Ganguro who picked Yun just to use Nishokyaku (Up Kicks) to escape Kunai Setups.
I won myself a Kineda t-shirt, which was actually in a girl's cut, that I gave to Vic. Vic is afterall, Team Xialan's favourite Cosplayer.
Looking forward to playing in the major this coming Saturday. 27th, an arcade tournament on Viewlix cabs for the first time... Sounds like fun.
Will win it for TXL.
Vx however is busy representing piss-drinking and vulgarity-spieling to get in shape for TGX '11 in September, from the 9th to the 11th. Catch Team Xialan back in action, just the two of us, just the way you like it, hosting events and giving you the most electrifying Street Fighter commentary in all of tournament history.
Thank you for the continuous support.

In my pursue for the perfect ponytail, I had an epiphany.
It was just another regular Da-gaming day, standing outside the famed MOS Burger, lighting a cigarette and watching the people go by, or skirts flying high, I chanced upon a random stranger... A female of course, of an age much like a Teenage poly girl. Dressed in probably the latest arrivals from the trendiest Blogshops, she attempted to cross the road, like a chicken.
What captivated me more than that was her distinct ponytail... Very nice... And then, it suddenly hit me. I came to the notion that the most perfect and most beautiful ponytails are usually that which mirrors a horse's tail. And what would be even better than a horse's tail, would be that of a pony's tail, right?
Damn, I'm so smart. Sometimes I think, I make thinking too strong.

Not the first of images captured, but a sign of greater things to come...
Right before we met the Ultra Director Miss Fors, at a time when we were hanging ourselves like Suckling Pigs on a railing... dogging, tilting and hazing, a time exactly one year ago... Is the story of a wild Vx and Jonda.
Having hosted numerous tournaments by himself with other partners, a then Vx was considered the best and regarded himself as a God amongst mortals, up until a wild Jonda entered the scene from the background, snatching the mic at the first ever Beginner's Tournament for Round1.sg, suddenly the platform seem unstable for two ridiculously great men to stand. Lucky for us, there was two microphones, which was the first time we probably ever did a show together, or at least, fifteen minutes of it together.
Fast forward to a couple of months later, where that same wild Vx seduced Jonda at the back of Stupid Aunty, with a plead to put an end to his dogging days (Which till this very day, has not ended... and you will soon read about)... In return, Jonda suggested,
"Why don't you help me out for TGX '10?"
And that as they say, was the beginning of the end.
Oh not quite yet...
Together, Vx and Jonda pulled off the most spectacular SBO Tougeki Singapore Qualifiers Grand Finals at Se7en. A show that was planned and rehearsed, 45 minutes before show time.
We then set out to form a unit for Event Hosting/Commentary the likes of ordinary men had never seen, and would find it hard to accept. Team Xialan was born on the third of August, one year ago. This very date, one year ago. We took about 4 hours to create everything that is Team Xialan that you see on the Internet or in print media today. EVERYTHING... The look, the graphics, the words, the manifesto, all our Social Media tools... EVERYTHING, in the space of 4 hours. I drew most of it, Vx wrote most of it, it's that simple.
First appearances of a Vx and Jonda
With the promise of always delivering the highest level of a show, telling it like it is and never selling out... I believe one year on, Team Xialan has continued to stay true to their word.
I've always said, we'll continue to do this until the day we become irrelevant. If there is still one person on earth who enjoys a Team Xialan show, then we will work for that one person only.
There are just way too many shoutouts to give... Coming so far, there's just too many people to thank for the love and support. Dogs from the Fighting Game Scene, all the Joels and Ganeshes, Tegan and Sara... The list is endless... All of which have contributed to this entity known as Team Xialan.
So this is it. Happy anniversary, you bastards.
